Thought and reflection:

Well it’s the start of a new year (or at least for those who are at school / college / university)! I hope you all had a refreshing summer and are now ready to gear up to what God’s doing, going forward! The months and years seem to fly by like seconds and minutes; I was told yesterday that there were only 55 shopping days til Christmas!!!

Every year one of my churches (well about 30 of the fellowship) makes an annual pilgrimage to Kingdom Faith, Faith Camp in Peterborough. (http://www.kingdomfaith.com/FaithCamp/ ) this year I heard a superb sermon from Colin Urquhart entitled ‘Do you still want revival?’ This really made me think and ask myself the question, ‘do I truly want to see revival in our communities, in our estates, in our towns and cities and in our country’ because if I do my life will have to changed!! These are the questions he asked us:

·        Do we desperately want (and believe) every sick person should be healed?

·        Do we desperately want every need met?

·        Do we desperately want to obey all his commands, with no exception?

·        Do we desperately want to find new ways to reaching the lost?

·        Do we desperately want to be in that Spirit of worship?

·        Do we really have a fear of the Lord?

·        Do really want to be totally submissive to His will?

·        Do we desperately want to loose all desire to sin?

·        Do we desperately want to loose all desire to please self?

·        Do we desperately want to be a praying people?

·        Do we desperately want the lives around us to be transformed?

·        Do we desperately want a deep repentance?

·        Are prepared to pay the cost?

·        Do you honestly expect God’s Devine intervention?

·        Everything we do, do we do in love, in holiness and in faith?

·        Do we passionately desire a positive mind sets, positive speech and positive    attitudes?

·        Do we not hold anything negative about anyone?

·        Is faith our way of life?

·        In the home is the open Bible the focus or is it the television?

·        Do we have an almost unbearable hunger for God?

·        Do we have a Godly humility?

·        Does your love for God & the church impact society/community?

·        Do you want to do everything Jesus did?

I want to simply leave you with these questions and ask you, do you still want revival? Because that is what society / the church / ourselves will be like when God moves!
